Last night I went to a good friends for drinks *mmm Guinness* and nibblies *mmmmm stinky cheese* and chattering with a few ladies.
I got to talking with one of them about used items and it suddenly occured to me that I had not even THOUGHT to paw through our local
VALUE VILLAGE for dolly-sized stuffs.
Went there today and OMG I was having a field day!

I got items for no less than 1/3, 1/4 AND 2 sizes of 1/6 dolls...as demonstrated by DUDE, WILLOW and PIKKU.
We have a fully functioning tent with flaps & with 2 sleeping bags I couldn't buy even the fabric to make for $4.00, a rocking chair for Willow, two cabinets with shelves and drawers (repainting will modernize them), some doll clothing including a velvet hat with holes for Willow's ears and coat to match, 4 pretty brass baskets just right for my big girls and garden furniture, bathtub, full length mirror and birdcage for my wee Pikku, Beer steins for the big boys, a brilliant little pewter, artdeco styled picture frame and what was not in the photo ~ lots of full spools of GOOD thread. I had to restrain myself >D
Doll things aside ~ I also scored no less than 11 PERFECT condition tea towels from the UK ~ linen or cotton ~ 9 brand new, all totally cheesy. After a few dozen washings they will make a great addition to the ones I use in the kitchen.
See ~ I am a vintage tea towel whore ~ LONG before Martha Stewart thought of it. While I use paper towels for things too unsanitary to keep, I use tea towels for everything else. They last YEARS. I probably go through minimum of 5 a day ~ with a hamper in the kitchen for the ones I won't use on food prep surfaces any longer due to soiling.
I'm sure they must have heard me
WOOHOO from the front of the store, as I pulled towel after towel off the rack at the back! 99 cents a piece! *pumps fist in the air* YEAH BABY!
